CHS Golf Team Pledge

I am going to put forth the necessary time and effort needed and to do my part to help this golf program succeed.

My commitment to the CHS Girls Golf Team is the following:

To manage my time, plan and identify areas of improvement for the team, myself and to keep up with school. I will be an active member of this team, attend and be on time to all practices, games and meetings. I will put forth the highest level effort and be mindful of other team members and coaching staff needs while valuing everyone's time.

I will expect in return that other team members and coaches will commit in the same way to the team and give it the time & effort it demands.

Golf Flow

  1. Effort: If you plan to improve at golf, you should not expect to avoid adversity. Rather, you should prepare your mind to absorb adversity (Gio Valiante)

  2. Control: The secret lies in just letting the round mature - there's no need to force it. (Tiger Woods)

  3. Time: How can something feel really fast, and slow at the same time?

  4. Awareness: Reaching the impossible is merely a matter of stringing together a series of the possible.

  5. Think Small, Play Big: What can you control on the golf course and what is out of your control? This is the same as asking, where should your PLAYING FOCUS be?

  6. Make Pressure your friend: You must do the things, which you think you cannot do (Eleanor Roosevelt)

  7. Love Your Swing, Play your Swing: Feel at ease, lack of worry, and no guessing as you hit the ball. (Walter Hagen)
